It is reported that in January to May 2010, the pipe producing subsidiaries of Interpipe Corporation doubled their steel pipe output to 315,800 tons as compared to the same period of last year.
Specifically, in January to May this year, Interpipe NTRP registered a 68.8% increase in its pipe production to 132,200 tons, Interpipe NMPP saw its pipe output increase by 70.4% to 66,800 tons, while Interpipe Niko Tube pipe output rose 2.87 times to 116,800 tons.
Meanwhile, Russia lifting of restrictions on duty free pipe imports from Ukraine had a positive effect on Interpipe May output. Thus, in May this year, Interpipe NTRP produced 28,200 tons of pipes and NMPP produced 11,800 tons of pipes, while Niko Tube pipe output amounted to 32,300 tons. (SteelOrbis)
