According to the data for the first eleven months of 2009, Ukrainian exports of steel pipes decreased by 25.5% to about 1.26 million tons, its semi-finished steel product exports dropped by 8.3% to 10.59 million tons, its exports of flat rolled steel decreased by 27.3% to about 5.56 million tons and its exports of long steel dropped by 14.5% to 4.475 million tons all compared to the corresponding period of 2008.
During the January to November 2009 period Ukraine registered a 1.7% YoY decline in its pig iron exports to about 1.256 million tons and a 14.8% decrease in its coke exports to 812340 tons all compared to January to November 2008.
Meanwhile, during the first eleven months of 2009, Ukraine increased its iron ore exports by 15.4% YoY to 24.665 million tons and its scrap exports by 37.6% YoY to 823,210 tons. (SteelOrbis)
