Ukraine top steel mill owned by ArcelorMittal cut its raw steel production in January to September 2009 to 3.520 million tons, 35.7 tons lower than in the same period the previous year.
The rolled steel production fell to 3.221 million tons in January to September 2009 from 4.663 million, while pig iron output fell to 3.088 million from 3.935 million.
Ukraine’s steel production fell to 37.1 million tonnes in 2008 from 42.8 million in 2007. (Reuters)
