Ukrainian Journal reported that Ukraine’s Yenakievo Iron and Steel Works one of the world’s largest producers of steel billets signed a Joint Implementation Project deal under the Kyoto Protocol with ING Bank seeking to reduce emissions of greenhouse gas.
According to preliminary estimates, the project will help the company to reduce GHG emissions into the atmosphere by about 1.5 million tonnes of CO2 equivalent by 2012.
