It is reported that Ukrainian steelmaker ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih a subsidiary of steel giant ArcelorMittal has stated that the construction of its new sinter producing plant with an annual production capacity of about 10.14 million tonnes may start in 2010.
Accordingly, the construction of the new sinter producing plant is expected to be completed in 2013, while total investment will amount to UAH 985 million. In addition, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih also plans to invest about UAH 86 million in the construction of a new pulverized coal injection facility at its blast furnace No. 9. The company has not disclosed the date when construction is to commence however it says that the construction work will take one and a half years. (SteelOrbis)
