According to the Russian Steel Association November forecast, in 2019 steel consumption in Russia is expected to grow by 4% YoY. The June forecast presupposed a 2% increase. In January-October iron and manganese ore railroad transportation grew by 3.2% YoY, to 57.3 million tons. According to the State Statistics Service, transportation of ferrous metals dropped by 3.4%, to 16.1 million tons.
