Ukraine: metal output down in January-May 2015
In January-May Ukraine produced 8 million tons of finished steel, 9.24 million tons of crude steel and 8.36 million tons of pig iron, all down by 29.7%, 28.4% and 30.4% YoY respectively.

In April Ukraine produced 1708 thousand tons of pig iron, up by 8.8%, or by 138 thousand tons MoM.
In April Ukraine produced 1.02 million tons of ferrous rolled metal, down by 41.4% YoY and 19.3% MoM. In January-April Ukraine produced 3.71 million tons of ferrous rolled metal.
Metallurgprom expects steel output in June on the level of 2.2 million tons, with pig iron at 2 million and rolled metal at 1.8 million tons.
Metal companies in Ukraine will boost steel smelting by 15.8% in June compared to expected production in May, to 2.2 million tons, and steel roll production will grow by 12.5%, to 1.8 million tons.
In January-April Ukrainian companies produced 7.08 million tons of carbon steel, down by 29.7% YoY.
In March Ukraine produced 1570 thousand tons of pig iron, up by 9.6%, or by 137 thousand tons, MoM.
In the first quarter of 2015 Ukrainian companies produced 5.15 million tons of carbon steel, down by 31.4% YoY.
