In 2018 Amur region extracted 3.5 million tons of power-generating coal, up by 100 thousand tons YoY.
The coal is mined at the Yerkovetskiy and Severo-Vostochniy pits.
In particular, coal output of the Yerkovetskiy pit, commissioned in 1991, grew by 3%.
Severo-Vostochniy pit, operating since 1932, increased output by 4% YoY. (Ukrainian metal)
