In January-June, Azerbaijan exported 23,799.8 kg of gold worth $3.636 billion.
According to Report’s calculations based on data from the State Statistics Committee, this is 30 times more in value and 13.6 times more in quantity than the same period in 2025.
Azerbaijan exported 21,902 tons of gold worth $3.468 billion to the UK, and 1,897.8 tons (+8.4%) worth $167.7 million to Switzerland (38.3% more than the previous year).
During the reporting period, Azerbaijan imported 89.2 tons of gold worth $14.9 million.
Azerbaijan purchased 70.1 kg of gold from Turkey (-55%) worth $12.04 million (-39%), 19 kg from Switzerland (up 4.8-fold) worth $2.8 million (-8%), and 4,149 kg from the UAE (no shipments the year before) worth $508.3 million.
Last year, Azerbaijan exported gold exclusively to Switzerland. 4,522 kg of the precious metal worth $326.2 million were shipped to that country, a 6% increase in volume and a 54% increase in value compared to the previous year. (Report)
