Turkish company Miryildiz KZ and the Akimat (state administration) of Kazakhstan’s Abay region signed a memorandum on the construction of a plant to process gold ore from the Zhanan deposit.
The project is estimated to cost $482 million.
The plant is planned to be built and operational by 2028. Regional authorities have not disclosed the annual ore processing capacity.
The potential investor has already conducted geological exploration over an area of over 1,000 square kilometers in the Zhanan-Boko-Zaysan gold ore zone and purchased some equipment for ore mining and processing. (Logistan)
