In January, Uzbekistan manufactured metallurgical products worth 29.2 trillion sums, according to the National Committee on Statistics of Uzbekistan.
This represents a 2.1-fold increase compared to the same period in 2025, highlighting significant growth in the sector.
Data over recent years show a consistent upward trend in metallurgical output: 4.8 billion sums in 2020, 6.8 billion sums in 2021, 7.7 billion sums in 2022, 8.1 billion sums in 2023, 10.4 billion sums in 2024, and 14.1 billion sums in 2025.
The sharp increase in 2026 indicates accelerated production activity and an enhanced role of the metallurgical industry in the country’s industrial structure. (UzDaily)
