A delegation from AzerGold CJSC paid working visits to the Turkish cities of Izmir and Canakkale, as well as to the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek.
The visits were organized with the aim of strengthening ties with the fraternal Turkic states in the mining sector, expanding mutual investment potential, and exchanging technical expertise in the fields of geological exploration, production, study, development, and processing of minerals.
During their visit to Turkey, AzerGold CJSC representatives visited the mining enterprises of Tumad, Zenit, and Bilfer. Productive discussions were held during the meetings aimed at further strengthening the successful ties between the two countries in the mining sector, introducing new technologies, sharing experience and knowledge, and effectively managing future joint projects.
Then, at the invitation of the Ministry of Natural Resources, Ecology, and Technical Supervision of Kyrgyzstan, the delegation visited Bishkek. During the visit, meetings were held with Deputy Minister Marat Yusufbekov and the management of the country’s leading mining company, Kyrgyzaltyn LLC. The parties exchanged views on AzerGold’s best practices in the mining industry, as well as prospects for mutual cooperation and investment opportunities.
During the discussions, special attention was paid to the technical and geological assessment of the Unkurtash, Sarytube, and Karatube gold deposits, the exploration of potential investment opportunities, and the organization of joint training programs and experience exchange in geological exploration and personnel training. The Kyrgyz side expressed particular interest in collaborating with AzerGold CJSC in these areas.
During the visit, the delegation also visited the country’s largest gold mining enterprise, the Kumtor mine, which was operated for many years by a foreign company and is currently managed by the Kyrgyz company Kumtor Gold. Company representatives learned about open-pit and underground gold mining and studied local mining practices firsthand.
It should be noted that such visits are an important component of AzerGold CJSC’s international cooperation strategy and contribute to the development of regional cooperation and integration. The agreements reached and the exchange of opinions during the visit create a solid foundation for the effective implementation of future joint projects between the parties. (Report)
