A gold deposit was returned to the state in Batken region, the press center of the State Committee for National Security (SCNS) reported.
“As part of investigative and operational measures based on the materials of a criminal case registered on the facts of money laundering, as well as financing the activities of Kamchi Kolbaev’s organized crime group, Aprelskoye AZI gold deposit in Batken region was transferred to the balance sheet of the Ministry of Natural Resources,” the statement says.
The SCNS noted that the total reserves of the deposit amounted to 10 tons of gold and 15 tons of silver. According to preliminary estimates, the market value of the deposit is more than $50 million. (24.kg)
