Business associations call on the government to develop an efficient way of economical reservation due to drafting of employees.
“The territorial drafting centers do not go searching for those how evade drafting, but go to an operating enterprise, stand at the checkpoints and in half a day fulfill the 2-3 months quota,” Ukrmetalurgprom president Oleksandr Kalenkov has said.
Even though all the enterprises of Ukrmetallurgprom are considered critically important for the economy, around 20% of their employees have been drafted to the army. Thus, at ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih 3.5 thousand employees were mobilized and at Metinvest enterprises – around 10 thousand.
“Our enterprises create a lot of jobs in other industries and regions of presence. One job in our industry creates eight jobs in other industries,” he added. (Ukrainian metal)
