Kyrgyzstan increased gold exports by 18.75% YoY in the first half of 2024, to 5.7 tons.
In value terms, exports amounted to $405 million. In the first half of last year, 4.8 tons of gold were exported for $302 million.
The main deliveries were to: Great Britain – more than 2.8 tons for $212 million, China – more than 1.8 tons for $129 million, Switzerland – 0.9 tons for $63 million and UAE – less than 14 kilograms for $881,000.
In the first quarter of this year, the main recipient of Kyrgyz gold was China; Great Britain resumed purchases in April. (24.kg)
