Ukraine: Russia trying to revive metal exports from occupied territories

The Russian government has removed the iron and steel semi-finished products, manufactured in the Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics, terrorist organizations created and supported by Russia, from the export rate duties until the end of the year.

In particular, the temporarily occupied territories can export 900 thousand tons of semi-finished steel products made of iron or non-alloyed steel, 80 thousand tons of pig iron, 184 thousand tons of rolled wire, 16 thousand tons of ferrosilicon and 200 thousand tons of coke products.

This measure is expected to support profitability of companies on the occupied territories of Ukraine and provide them with additional export revenue. (Ukrainian metal)
