A sudden shut down of electricity at ArcelorMittal Kryvyi Rih resulted in a short-term increase in air pollution. In particular, by-product coke manufacture was affected. In January-May, global steel output amounted to 793.12 million tons, down by 0.09% YoY. The largest producer is China, having manufactured 438.61 million tons, down by 1.4%.
