In 2023, Ukraine decreased pig iron exports by 5.8% YoY, to 1.248 million tons.
According to the State Customs Service, in monetary terms exports dropped by 26.2%, to $471.467 million.
The main customers were Poland (51.91% in monetary terms), Spain (21.41%) and the USA (13.15%).
Last year, Ukraine imported 154 tons of pig iron for $156 thousand from Germany (42.31%), Brazil (41.67%) and Poland (16.03%), up from 40 tons for $23 thousand in 2022. (Ukrainian metal)
