Kametstal is carrying out a project to replace ATK-12.5/35 compressor with two more powerful and energy-efficient ones in the oxygen-compressor shop.
The compressor machinery provides converter shop with nitrogen.
The company constantly operates one of three compressors in the shop, which partially covers the need in nitrogen and is very energy-consuming. Thus, the decision was taken to replace it with two new ones.
The old compressor has already been disassembled.
The power of the old compressor was 3 MWh, while two new compressor machines will consume not more than 2.3 MWh combined. (Ukrainian metal)
