DTEK intends in short-term to start exporting coal to Europe.
“In the short-term we could replace Russian coal. We could become a supplier. For example, Poland has already dumped Russian coal, thus enabling us to make small deliveries to Poland and Slovakia,” the company CEO Maksim Timchenko said.
DTEK is also mulling control over the state enterprise Lvivugol.
“We had talks with the Ministry of Energy on investments in Lvivugol. We are ready to view Lviv as a tool for investments and extraction,” he added. (Ukrainian metal)
