ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih has developed a plan to reconstruct its No. 2-bis and No. 3 quarries to maintain the iron ore output at 30 million tons per year.
The quarry No. 3 has a capacity of 14.7 million tons of ore per year. In 2021-2030 the output is expected at 12.7-13.6 million tons, in 2031-2035 – 13.7 million tons, in 2036-2040 – 17 million tons and in 2041-2045 – 10 million tons.
Average output in 26 years will be 13.5 million tons per year.
The capacity of the No. 2-bis quarry is 10 million tons per year. In 2021-2035 it will be 12 million tons, in 2036-2040 – 10.2 million tons and in 2041-2045 – 6.2 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
