Russia: Kuzbass coal output down in January 2020

In January Kuzbass pits yielded 10.6 million tons of coal (13.3 million tons in January 2019) and mines – 7.4 million tons (6.9 million tons).

Coking coal accounted for 6.4 million tons (6.4 million tons), while power-generating coal – 11.6 million tons (13.8 million tons).

16.8 million tons of coal were transported via railroad (19 million tons), with daily average transportation at 7648 gondola cars (8675).

Some 15 million tons were sold (17.7 million tons), including 9.8 million tons exported (12.1 million tons), 2.7 million tons to domestic metal and coke plants (2.8 million tons), 1.5 million tons – to power plants (as in 2019) and 0.3 million tons – to housing enterprises and population (0.36 million tons).

In January factories processed 10.8 million tons of coal (11.6 million tons), including 6.4 million tons of coking coal (6.2 million tons) and 4.4 million tons of power-generating coal (5.4 million tons).

6.3 million tons of coal concentrate were obtained (6.9 million tons), including 4.3 million tons of coking coal (4.2 million tons in January 2019). (Ukrainian metal)
