Some products of the Belarusian steel mill BMZ have been exported to Poland via the Belarusian Universal Commodity Exchange (BUCE), the BUCE press service has reported.
As much as 2,000 tons of steel reinforcing bars made by BMZ and worth EUR 731,000 were sold to Poland in two trade sessions (in December 2019 and January).
The trade sessions were arranged for the sake of increasing the volume and effectiveness of the export of Belarusian metal products to Poland. Major Polish consumers of these products were invited to participate in the trade sessions in order to enable a competitive environment.
The results indicate that Polish companies are interested in buying Belarusian reinforcing bars. The volume of BMZ products sold via BUCE to Poland is expected to grow. Trade sessions will be organized every Thursday to match the growing interest of buyers.
