In July-September Mechel increased coal output by 15% QoQ, to 5.29 million tons. In 9 months mining dropped by 7%, to 13.429 million tons.
Pig iron manufacture in Q3 decreased by 7%, to 794 thousand tons, and in January-September – by 10%, to 2.52 million tons.
In Q3 Mechel produced 888 thousand tons of steel, down by 5%, and in 9 months – 2.65 million tons, down by 8%.
Sales of bars in Q3 decreased by 4%, to 631 thousand tons, and in January-September – by 10%, to 1.895 million tons.
Sales of flat rolled metal went down by 5%, to 107 thousand tons in Q3, and by 14%, to 334 thousand tons in 9 months.
In Q3 sales of coking coal concentrate decreased by 10%, to 1.72 million tons, and in January-September – by 1%, to 5.333 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
