The Ministry of ecology, geology and natural resources has signed a memorandum with ArcelorMittal Temirtau to decrease emission by 30% in 2019-2024.
The meeting also discussed the environment-protection activities of AMT, implementation of the newest techniques in pollution decrease and purification, as well as measures taken to improve the ecological situation in the Karaganda region.
AMT investments in environment projects in 2017-2019 totaled 18.9 billion tenge, including 9.7 billion in 2018. (Ukrainian metal)
