Employees of Dneprovsky Iron and Steel Combine have made a video address to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky, in which they ask him to nationalize the company.
“The management are doing all in their power to halt the enterprise: the metallurgical giant is simply being killed – out of three blast furnaces two have been shut down, and the converter shop is not operating at full capacity. All this is done, as they say, due to the incompetitiveness and the decrease of output, which is a lie. We suggest nationalizing DMK and other such enterprises across the country”, the said in the address.
In early October DMK, controlled by Metinvest, shut down a part of its main manufacturing capacities, having explained the move with the global crisis on the metal market and the lack of funds. (Ukrainian metal)
