Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex intends to mine up to 74 million tons of copper ore per year at the Yoshlik I deposit.

The development of the deposit, situated next to the Kalmakir deposit, started in 2017.

Art present the company employs 1330 people and 54 quarry dump trucks there.

The first copper ore will be mined in 2021.

By 2023 the mine will have reached the annual output of 65 million tons, and by 2035 – 74 million tons.

When the deposit reaches its design capacity, it will employ 6 thousand people.

The total cost of the project is $1.7 billion. (Ukrainian metal)
