The Achinsk Alumina Refinery of Russian aluminum producer RUSAL has suspended production because of explosions on a military warehouse nearby, a RUSAL spokesperson reported.
“Due to the current situation, the Achinsk Alumina Refinery has established a commanding unit for a prompt response. A decision to suspend all works and evacuate the employees has been made in order to ensure security of the employees,” the official said.
The explosions occurred at 5:00 p.m., local time, in the Krasnoyarsk region in Siberia. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
