MMK has completed the repair of the small-section mill-170.
The mill saw repair of its heating furnace, as well as the replacement of all Stelmor fans.
The contract to modernize the mill was concluded in late 2017 with Danieli and Officine Meccaniche S.p.A.
The cost of the contract was 5.5 million euros.
At present both mill lines have been put into operation.
The mill has a capacity of 765 thousand tons per year and can produce wire rod with the diameter of 6 to 22 mm, as well as rebar wire rod with the diameter of 6, 8, 10, 12 and 16 mm. (Ukrainian metal)
