PJSC Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) and LLC Siemens, a subsidiary of the German Group of Companies Siemens AG, have signed a contract for the supply of electrical equipment for a period of three years.

The joint work of the companies will be organized through the Siemens online store – Industry Mall. Through the store, MMK technicians, with the help of a configurator, will be able to choose the necessary equipment and add new features to it: additional protection systems, additional sensors for engines, etc.

All operations for formulating orders using Diadok electronic document management system will now take no more than two days, while through the current system, the coordination and signing of specifications with suppliers takes two to three weeks. MMK’s new system with Siemens allows the company’s technical specialists to order new models of equipment with improved performance and coordinate plans online. Technical specialists of the two companies will be able to communicate directly within the system which will help to achieve the best result that meet the requirements of both parties.

Within the framework of the three-year contract, discounts are fixed for each group of products. Siemens specialists held a training to educate employees and connect MMK’s technical specialists and workshop resources directly to the Siemens system. In the process of implementing the project, 82 MMK technical specialists were connected to the system. (MMK/Ukrainian metal)
