In January-April, Ukraine produced 3.5 million tons of bulk coke with 5% moisture, down by 3% YoY.
In April, deliveries of coking coal to by-product coke plants grew by 3% MoM, to 1.29 million tons, with coal of local mining down by 25%, to 190 thousand tons, and imported – up by 10%, to 1.1 million tons.
In 4 months coking coal deliveries dropped by 1%, to 4.87 million tons, including local coal by 8%, to 880 thousand tons. Imports increased by 1%, to 3.99 million tons.
The delivery of coke to local metal companies in April went down by 1% MoM, to 816 thousand tons, with domestic coke down by 2%, to 752 thousand tons, but imported up by 2%, to 64 thousand tons.
In 4 months metal companies received 3.19 million tons of coke, down by 4% YoY, including 2.95 million tons of local coke, down by 4%, and 240 thousand tons of imported coke, down by 8%. (Ukrainian metal)
