ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih is completing the preparation of its social facilities for summer season. They are three country tourist camps, two children’s camps and two health complexes on the Black and Azov seaside. The maintenance of all social facilities, including Dzherelo sanatorium-preventorium, will cost the company UAH 103 million. In addition, the metallurgical plant will send UAH 22 million to update, repair and prepare its health resorts for summer season. Thus, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih’s expenses on the rest of its employees and their family members will be UAH 125 million this year.
Territory and beaches are now landscaped at tourist camps Volna and Rassvet. Fresh sand will be added at Volna tourist camp, and the road will be repaired along the entire camp. It is also planned to purchase two new holiday houses for a total amount of 750 thousand UAH. Meanwhile, at Maryanovka tourist camp capital repair of three buildings is under completion. Now, they have new roofs, metal-plastic windows, and modern interior decoration. The rental center of sports equipment has also been repaired, while a large-scale repair of one of the largest beaches is at the final stage.
Yekaterina Kolyada, acting Head of Social Development Department of HR Department, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih: “Among the surprises for the campers of Maryanovka is the return of twin-hull crafts to the water. They will moor to the renovated beach in the area of houses for the employees of the Rolling Shop No. 2. The beach area has been improved and released from bed of rushes. Repaired pier with strong supports, reliable boards and safe handrails will be a decoration of the beach. One of the first to evaluate all the pleasant novelties of Maryanovka will be the participants of the Family Day that the company plans to organize there on May 12”.
The readiness of the facilities for the season both at the tourist camps and in the sea health complexes is confirmed by the inspection and cleaning of the bottom of the water area of the beaches, laboratory studies of potable water, sea water, waste water and sand. At present, contracts are being concluded for permanent and mandatory emergency and rescue services at the sea facilities of the plant. In addition, autonomous sewage disposal plants have been built at the Azov health complex on the coast of the Azov Sea. Now they are passing first tests. For the construction of its own sewage disposal plants of the closed cycle ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih provided about UAH 10 million.
Preparation is under completion also at children’s health camps. Interior finishing works in two children’s buildings of Burevestnik have been done, and capital repair is ongoing in one more building. The video hall and the library for children have also been repaired in Burevestnik. And in Parus, 22.5 hectares of the territory of the complex and the entire infrastructure, including awnings on the beach, are being put in order. Also for 2019 season, the canteen has been capitally repaired, ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih allocated about UAH 6 million for its renovation. (AMKR/Ukrainian metal)
