The board of directors of Buryatzoloto, a part of Nordgold, developing the Zun-Kholba and Irokinda deposits in the Republic of Buryatia, decided to transfer licenses to its daughter companies.
In particular, Zun-Kholba LLC will be operating at the Zun-Kholbinskoye gold ore deposit as well as prospecting at the Pionerskoye deposit. The company will have 6 licenses.
Irokinda LLC will get 6 licenses to operate at the Irokindinskoye deposit, as well as prospect the Zhanokskoye field and Severniy site.
Since 2014, Buryatzoloto output has been gradually decreasing. While in 2014 it extracted 119.7 thousand ounces of gold, in 2018 it yielded 64.7 thousand ounces only. (Ukrainian metal)
