Belarus will resume negotiations with Sudan on the second site for gold extraction after the situation in the country is stabilized, Belarusian Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Minister Andrei Khudyk declared.
The second site has been chosen but conditions for using it have not been totally agreed upon.
“We will definitely keep an eye on the matter and will resume negotiations once the situation is stabilized,” the official said.
The site is located closer to the Nile River. According to preliminary data, gold extraction there is advisable considering the availability of water nearby. Belarus intended to simultaneously work at the first site. The relevant Belarusian enterprise has been registered in Sudan. (BelTA/Ukrainian metal)
