Since the start of the year, the Stepnoy Open Pit has mined 1.125 million tons of coal, up by 13% YoY.
The pit extracts D-grade coal.
It is then shipped to power companies and housing utilities enterprises of Russia.
Last year the pit yielded over 4.2 million tons of coal, processing some 3.4 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
