Russia: Kekura gold mining to start in 2019

In 2019 the Kekura deposit in Chukotka Autonomous District is expected to start yielding gold.

The license to develop the deposit is owned by Bazovyye metally, a part of HGM.

As of January 1, 2018 the JORC reserves totaled 2 million ounces of gold with an average content of 7 g per ton.

Mineral resources amounted to 9.47 million tons of ore and 2.454 million ounces (76.5 tons) of gold. (Ukrainian metal)
