The capacity of Russia’s Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) decreased after a fire on a coal stoker on January 27, an official of the Emergency Situations Ministry reported.

“We received a report of a fire on a coal stoker at 9:00 a.m. local time. The technological process was not disrupted, but the productive capacity decreased,” the official said.

The fire, which covered 770 square meters, was extinguished at 4:10 p.m. local time. (Prime/Ukrainian metal)
