Mechel has prolonged the agreement to supply coal to Jidong Cement till the end of 2019.
In 12 months the company will ship to China up to 2 million tons of power-generating coal mined by Elgaugol and Yakutugol enterprises.
Monthly shipments will range between 100 thousand and 150 thousand tons of coal.
“This is the third large contract concluded by Mechel and Jidong Cement. The company is the main customer of Elga coal in Asia. In 2017 we supplied 1.9 million tons of coal to our Chinese partners, and in 2018 – 1.4 million tons”, Mechel-Mining CEO Pavel Shtark said. (Ukrainian metal)
