The minister of energy and coal industry Igor Nasalik has suggested increasing the base price of power-generating coal in Ukraine by 10.5%.
Thus, the price should grow from the current level of 2535 UAH (without VAT) per ton, set in April, to 2800 UAH.
According to Nasalik, the base price increase is necessitated by the coal price growth in 2018. At present the coal is imported at 3 thousand UAH per ton.
The price increase is expected to improve the situation at the state coal enterprises. (Ukrainian metal)
