Evraz has purchased a vertical boring machine with the well diameter of 2.4 meters.
This is the first time when such machinery will be used in Russia.
The machine will be operating at Raspadskaya mines.
Trial boring will be carried out at the Yerunakovskaya-VIII mine. First, a pilot well with the diameter of 279 mm will be drilled to the depth of 500 meters. Then a special widener will be attached to the end of the bore, which will gradually increase the well diameter to 2.4 meters.
In addition to Yerunakovskaya-VIII the machine will be used at the Raspadskaya-Koksovaya, Alardinskaya and other Evraz mines. (Ukrainian metal)
