Polymetal International plc has sold its 100% share in the platinum project Svetlobor to a group of Russian independent buyers for $5.5 million.
“The project does not meet our strategy. Still, we retain a considerable project in the platinum sphere – Viksha, a large deposit, which will in future be developed”, the group chief managing director Vitaliy Nesis said.
Polymetal bought Svetlobor in 2013 for $9.7 million, paid in shares. (Ukrainian metal)
