An employee of the pipe-rolling shop at Interpipe Nizhnedneprovsk Pipe Works received a fatal injury.
According to the State Labor Service, he violated operational instructions and without switching off the straightening machine got into a spindle rotation zone.
The accident happened on November 6.
According to the State Labor Service, in 2017, 4.313 thousand people were injured at their working places in Ukraine, including 366 fatal accidents. In particular, in coal industry 780 employees were injured (23 perished), in mining – 201 (9) and in metallurgy – 260 (13). (Ukrainian metal)
