Russia: Petropavlovsk gold output down in January-September 2018

In July-September Petropavlovsk Plc, extracting gold at four mines in Amur region, obtained 102 thousand ounces, on par with the corresponding period of 2017.

Pioner provided 30.2 thousand ounces of gold, Pokrovsky – 0.7 thousand ounces, Malomyr – 32.6 thousand ounces and Albyn – 38.5 thousand ounces.

In January-September gold output dropped by 10% YoY, to 303.4 thousand ounces. In particular, Pioner and Albyn yielded 108.8 thousand ounces each, Malomyr – 79.5 thousand ounces and Pokrovsky – 6.3 thousand ounces.

This year Petropavlovsk expects to produce 450 thousand ounces of gold. Capital expenses are estimated at the level of $105-110 million.

Last year the group extracted 439.6 thousand ounces of gold. (Ukrainian metal)
