In 2023 the Vostok Engineering LLC intends to start transporting ore from the Tomtorskoye rare-earth metals deposits in Yakutia.

By that time a 68-km long ice-road ferry will have been constructed.

The road will run through the Krasnoyarsk region to the port of Khatanga, and then the ore will be transported via the Northern Sea Route and railroad to a plant in Zabaikalye region.

The total length of the road will be 11 thousand km.

The industrial mining of gold will start in 2022.

Investments in the development of the deposit total $560 million.

The resources of the Tomtorskoye deposit are estimated at 154 million tons of ore with the niobium content of 6.71%, yttrium – 0.6%, scandium – 0.048% and terbium – 9.53%. (Ukrainian metal)
