Russia: metal transportation on Sverdlovskaya Railroad up in January-September 2018

In September Sverdlovskaya Railroad transported 11.5 million tons of cargo, down by 1.2% YoY.

Transportation in 9 months dropped by 0.3% YoY, to 104.5 million tons.

In particular, transportation of ferrous metals increased by 1.8%, to 7.7 million tons, of scrap – by 6%, to 1.9 million tons and of coke – by 29.9%, to 1.6 million tons.

At the same time ferrous and manganese ore transportation fell by 2%, to 9.2 million tons, and non-ferrous ore – by 2.8%, to 4.9 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
