The arc steel shop No. 3 of Uralskaya Kuznitsa has celebrated its 60th anniversary.
The shop was one of the first to create “special metallurgy” in Russia. The sphere had to provide for the development of high-tech industries: rocket construction, nuclear industry, submarine construction, space exploration, etc.
For this, materials were needed with characteristics far surpassing those of the ordinary materials. Stronger, more durable, heat-resistant, flexible and reliable. The development of such steels started at the shop No. 3. (Ukrainian metal)
