18 coal-processing factories will be constructed in Kemerovo region in 5 years, which will increase coal-processing volumes by 66.5 million tons and provide local population with 3.5 thousand jobs.
At present 54 processing factories are operating in the region, having processed 161.6 million tons of coal in 2017, or 67% of all output.
Kemerovo region is a major coal region of Russia, mining some 60% of all coal. There are 100 coal-mining enterprises there – mines and pits. Last year they increased output by 6.2%, to 241.5 million tons. (Ukrainian metal)
