The first stage of the modernization of the sandwich-panel production line was completed at the MMK Trading House production site in Shelkovo (the Moscow region).

In early August together with representatives of the Italian company “Magma”, specialists of the company commissioned a new glue system. This equipment improves the quality of the gluing process, allowing production at world-level standards. In addition, modernization of the production line will lead to an increase in labor productivity and product yield as well as cost reduction.

The MMK Trading House site in Shelkovo is a large complex handling the production of corrugated sheeting, metal tile, trim, soffits, and sandwich-panels. The facility capabilities allow for the production of up to 100,000 tons per year. Sandwich-panels are produced at the Australian Hilleng line. In 2017 the output exceeded 5 thousand tons, approximately a quarter of which was purchased by MMK for use in the construction of the plant’s production facilities. In particular, the sandwich-panels produced by MMK Trading House are required for the ongoing construction of buildings for a new sinter plant, sheet rolling workshops Nos. 4 and 11 and a new ticket office for the Metallurg Arena.
