PJSC ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih continues to invest in new automotive equipment. Last week three new 45-ton dump trucks BelAz-75473 were released for the performance of steelmaking wastes disposal. The total cost of dump trucks amounted to 26 million 700 thousand UAH.

Aleksey Smirnov, Deputy Director of Motor Transport Department, PJSC ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih: “As of now, the pool of BelAzes that maintain metallurgical production facilities, consists of 18 trucks of various tonnage. Only over the last two years the company purchased eight BelAzes for Steel Plant, including these three 45-ton trucks. They meet modern technical requirements, as well as requirements for safety and ergonomics”.

Investment program of PJSC ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih provides also for large-scale renewal of mining equipment. Over the previous two years, the company purchased 22 large-capacity trucks, thanks to that the motor pool of heavy-duty equipment for Mining Department has already been renewed by half. The plant costs for these purposes amounted to $24 million. On top of that, there were capital repairs done on five САТ dump trucks, two BelAzes, five bulldozers, a loader, a motor grader and other equipment.

Recently the company has been intensively purchasing special automotive equipment. More than EUR 600 thousand were spent for the purchase of a truck-mounted crane Liebherr with boom stroke of 47 meters max, which would be involved in repairs of large-sized equipment, including the one in open pits. This is the second similar truck-mounted crane of 90 tons capacity in PJSC ArcelorMittal Kriviy Rih, the first one is operated at the facilities of Steel Plant.

Another recent purchase is a forklift truck of Japan manufacturing. It is planned to be used for transportation of spare parts and combustive and lubricating materials.
