The acting governor of Primorye region has signed the agreement on the development of tungsten ore deposits and the creation of the new enterprise – Malinovsky Mining and Processing Works.

The agreement has also been signed by the Primorsky GOK CEO Vladimir Shagoyko and the director of its subsidiary the ore company AIR Vladimir Shepeta.

Primorsky GOK is mining for tungsten in the village of Vostok. The reserves are slowly depleting, thus it has been decided to develop a new deposit – Skrytoye. The deposit has been known since Soviet times, but the development did not start because of its hard to reach location.

The new enterprise will create 700 jobs. Investments will total 8 billion rubles. (Ukrainian metal)
